Throughout history, faith communities have played a key role in social and environmental justice.  From the civil rights movement, where faith leaders like Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. fought for equality, to modern efforts advocating for climate action, faith communities have used their moral voices to stand up for what is right.

 

Since 2011, FaCT has been devoted to caring for the Earth and her people by calling together followers of all faith traditions to carry out our inter-faith mission, which is to educate, inspire, advocate, and organize for sustainable practices and policies that address the problems of climate change and the pollution of our sacred earth.  

 

FaCT’s Distinguished Speaker Series presents prominent environmentalists, historians, economists, science writers, journalists, and authors of both fiction and non-fiction with themes that deal with the environment and environmental justice.
