Community Education

The Community Education Committee is responsible for developing materials and programs to educate our anchor congregations and the communities around them principally on three topics: toxic and radioactive brine spreading, Class II injection wells, and climate change.

Leadership Recruitment

The Leadership / Recruitment Committee helps FaCT develop leadership within the organization. Part of their work involves serving as the Nominating Committee to identify candidates for the Board of Directors. Half of the directors are elected each year at the Annual Meeting, which is usually the last Saturday in September.

Fund Development

The Fund Development Committee oversees the planning, development, management, and implementation of FaCT's fundraising plan.  The Committee conducts two major fund raising drives each year among FaCT constituents. The Committee also oversees grant-seeking efforts.

Finance

The Finance Committee helps to design the Annual Budget for FaCT each fiscal year (October 1 through September 30). This Committee also helps the Treasurer to oversee FaCT’s finances.

Legislation

The Legislative Committee advocates for policies that protect our climate and environment on the federal, state and local levels, in coalition with other Ohio environmental groups. Committee members call, write, and meet with legislators; submit testimony on pending legislation; speak at public rallies and press events; and write articles, op eds and letters to the editor about current issues. Plans include engaging with local businesses such as grocery chains in the future.

The Marketing Committee is in charge of FaCT’s brand and of promotional outreach of all kinds, including via our publications, our web  and social media presence, brochures, and advertising.
