According to reporting from Inside Climate News, the Trump Administration

has dropped its challenge to a court ruling that had tossed out Trump's order to freeze federal permitting of wind projects.

On June 15, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit dismissed the appeal

after the Justice Department filed a motion for its voluntary dismissal on June

10.

This move lets stand the decision of the U.S. District Court's Judge Patti Saris,

which concluded that Trump's January 2025 executive order exceeded the

president;s authority.
