Wind, Solar beating Coal

According to reporting on the Kathryn Hayhoe website, solar is now the cheapest source of electricity in history!  Last year, a new solar project as installed every 59 seconds in the U.S.


In Texas there is already more solar than coal powering the electric grid.  Across the whole U.S., solar generated more electricity than coal –12.8% versus 12.2%.


The U.S. is trying to catch up in solar, competing with countries like China, which now installs more wind and solar power than the whole rest of the world combined!
